You know those adverts for olive oil or pasta that show huge, beautiful Mediterranean families dining together without arguing or getting drunk and unruly? This is the real life version. When I came with a friend earlier this year we sat outside in the pretty courtyard (in March, no less) surrounded by orange groves and palm trees and watched in awe as a family of about 20 appeared to thoroughly enjoy each others' company for a whole afternoon. The food is just incredible, this time I had anchovies and then some sort of local almond tart and copious glasses of rose but I've been back a few times and tried nearly everything on the menu. Insanely good.
